- In the technical sessions:
- Sven Woop talks on his SIGGRAPH paper "RPU: A Programmable Ray Processing Unit for Realtime Ray Tracing", Monday, 8:30-10:15, West Hall B, in the "Hardware Rendering" session.
- Attend the "Introduction to Realtime Ray Tracing" course on Wednesday, Petree Hall D.
- Ingo Wald talks about his sketch: Interactive Point-based Ray Tracing on Wednesday, 3:45-5:30, Petree Hall C.
- Johannes Guenther talks about his sketch: Precomputed Light Sets for Fast High-Quality Global Illumination on Tuesday, 8:30-10:15, Petree Hall C.
- On the exhibition floor:
- SGI Inc. is showing a demo the 350 million triangle "Boeing 777" model rendered with OpenRT/inView on one of their Prism machines on the SGI booth 1511.
- Mercury Computer Systems is showing several OpenRT-driven demos, including inTrace's inView software on a Mercury cluster, a Maxxon Cinema4D OpenRT plugin, an inventor@OpenRT demo, as well as ray tracing on a Cell processor. Check out the Mercury booth number 1155.
